Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts
And presents aren’t promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open
With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,
And you learn to build all your roads on today,
Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans,
And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn
That even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong,

IT. WAS. LIFE. CHANGING.
Council B2 was were it was at! Hollllllllllllllllllla!
I loved everything about it from the laughing to the crying, the screaming for food to breaking of the boards -I loved it all. I feeel so close to every single one of my council members, and i can honestly say that i have NEVER IN MY LIFE opened up to anyone like I did to them, and i've known them for what?! 6 days now? This past week has totally changed my outlook on life and the way i look at people. Everyone is different, and everyone is beautiful. I learned to believe & trust in my self and that i can do anything. I just loooved camp so much. Words can't even describe it. All i know is that when i look in the mirror now, i don't feel like i have to change for anyone. I like myslef just the way i am and i feel like i can do anything. I couldn't say that a couple days ago. Crazy riiiiight? TRUST THE PROCESS!

i am so happy that you decided to go. an experience that you are going to cherish FOREVER and one that no words can probably ever describe just so.
the poem/words that you used at the top were beautiful, words that i am writing down in my little book of quotes/sayings that i keep, 'cause that one is a keeper. wow. it is powerful.
